Hay otros monumentos en Agra que tambien son fantasticos como el Fuerte de Agra, pero despues del Taj Mahal todo parece menos importante.
Por cierto en la foto de arriba os presento a Agustin.
The Taj Mahal
By far, one of the worst nights since my arrival in India. When we got on the train, Agustin had the brilliant idea of showing me a picture of a huge rat he had just seen in the station. This together with the two mice that I saw in our wagon, and the feeling several times during the night that the train was going to derail any minute, made me to be awake all night. Arrival to our destination, and in doing so, rows of men perfectly lined up, defecating in the railway tracks. This is India! After this lovely introduction, let's get back to the reason that has brought us here. Located in Agra, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, is the Taj Mahal. Marvellous, breathtaking, outstanding, beautiful, all adjectives are good to describe it, everything they say about it is true, it is so beautiful that it doesn't look real. It's PERFECT! the most beautiful monument ever built for love, and nowadays one of the seven wonders of the world, as well as world heritage. 20.000 workers during 22 years were necessary to finish it off. They say that when Jahan saw the Taj, he ordered his men to cut off the right hand of the master architect Ustad Isa, to avoid him from erecting another monument of such beauty. I don't know whether this is true, but what it seems to be true is that its creator, the emperor Shah Jahan, had the Taj Mahal built in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died when giving birth to her 14th child (poor woman! no wonder she kicked the bucket). He was then overthrown by his son Aurangzeb, who locked him up in the Agra Fort from where he could see the construction of the Taj Mahal. The four identical faces of the Taj Mahal are a masterpiece, its perfect symmetry is only broken by Shah Jahan's cenotaph, as his son built it next to his wife's, being the latter right in the middle of the Taj.
There are other monuments in Agra, like the Fort, which is also magnificent, but after the Taj Mahal everything else seems less important.

Pedro.
